Are you sure it's the right prescription? My son hated his first pair of glasses. I tried for months to get him to keep them on. Turns out they were way too strong. Also they were blue frames and his therapist suggested clear frames. I got the right prescription through a new eye doctor and was able to get him not clear frames, but they were a non colored rubber very durable plastic. It still took time to get him to wear them. I just kept his glasses with me all the time and try to slip them on him while he was distracted doing something else. For a long time he refused to wear his glasses anytime we were at home inside, but if we were outside playing or at a store with new things to look at he would keep them on. I really believe that once the child can start to look at new stuff with the glasses on and tell it's not fuzzy they will start to realize it's the glasses that help and they forget they are wearing them. My son just turned 4 and got red glasses, his favorite color and he wears them like a champ. I can hand him his glasses in the morning and he puts them on by himself and trust me I never thought that would happen! Hang in there and just keep trying to slip them on. She may only keep them on for a few seconds or minutes, but that time will increase and she will be wearing them all day before you know it. Oh and just a little FYI, when my son get mad and starts a meltdown the glasses are the first thing he ripes off and throws across the room followed by taking off all his clothes. Thank goodness those little glasses are very durable!

Wearing glasses for both my boys worked because we set it up that we ran into (people stopped over) and the first thing they did was compliment the great glasses, how good you look, they make you look so cool (pretty) etc. if you set it up right where wearing them gets her lots of positive attention and help to make her feel special she will wear them. Take away the (you NEED) to wear them aspect, you don't want her to think it's a chore/job, instead something she wants to do. Is she competitive at all? If so the old "wow those a great & you look so nice...wish I had a pair like that!" may work too. Good luck.
