A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi All
I have a son 12 years old- ASD and other learning challanges.
I am considering a move to the south Orange County CA area- San Diego areas.
Can anyone tell me about the districts there and schools that can support a high functioning student that can also have some aggressive behaviors.
Looking for information on shared programs and non public or private schools.

Thanks in advance.

I'm in Orange Unified School District. Ours is highly problematic and noted as one of the "worst". This is tricky though...I don' t know who "they" are or why my providers and other school employees hate it so much. I just know that funding is low and there are many parents who have hired advocates and are fighting with the district. I have heard excellent reviews on Placentia/Yorba Linda school district. But, honestly, I don't know how these viewpoints are calculated. I suggest talking with an advocate in various counties and asking them where they have seen the best services provided to a child with special needs.
