Has anyone been in a school district that used SESI? How was you and your child's experience with them?

I see you are in Tx. There is a child advocate named Ashley Carol in the Dallas Metro. Fantastic social worker/teacher/advocate for spec needs and holding schools accountable. Best of luck!

Hi! So this September will be my first time trying this for my 3 yr old. CPSE helped me to find 2 schools in my area that are specialized schools but still considered part of the district. So it’s free and they only have schooling through age 5 I think. Both schools seem to have good reviews, of course I’m nervous as heck just thinking about it. I will update you when September rolls around.

Here is what I found about the program

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI Schools) partners with Texas public school districts to provide specialized K-12 classrooms and alternative education for students with autism, emotional disabilities, or learning challenges. They operate programs both as standalone private day schools and as embedded, in-district classrooms.

SESI Programs in TexasIn Texas, SESI partners with local districts and regional educational centers to implement In-District Classrooms (IDCs) and standalone campuses. These programs keep students connected to their local community schools while offering the smaller, highly structured, therapeutic environments necessary to manage intensive behavioral and emotional needs.Sierra School of Manor: Serves students in the Austin/Manor area, offering dedicated programs up to the 18+ classroom level to help older learners build practical, post-secondary life skills.Sierra School in McKinney: Partners with Region 10 to deliver individualized instruction and behavioral support for students with unique behavioral needs.
