fear of insects

Hi moms and dads
I have a 4.2 year old son whome I strongly believe has Aspergers, but not officially diagnosed yet. He recently developed an intense fear of bugs...all kinds..following a nightmare of bees. He refusesto go outdoors unless to go somewhere by car and even then he keeps covering his ears and looking around paranoid. Have you tried cartoon-like educational videos? Maybe something with music (like a Laurie Berkner DVD or other kids' celebrity)? Another idea would be to go to your local children's or science museum. See if they have someone who could talk to him about what bugs do and how they will not hurt people unless messed with (usually). Good luck!
