You can request an OUTSIDE IEE

Funny you should ask this. I just had to fight in our recent iEP for a pragmatics goal. The speech therapist was bent on only providing articulation goals. Ultimately, she created 2 goals that have pragmatics, but it was begrudgingly provided. I'm not really sure why it is that she (or the school system?) did not want that to be a part of his IEP. I think his psych eval from the school psych which indicated social skills issues in and out of class, led to it.
