My son is diagnosed with autism. He is suggested 40 hrs per week ABA .we have BCBS insurance thru my husband employer. They don't cover ABA. Changing plan on BCBS is possible only in November.

Any suggestion what we can do to make our son
attend ABA thru insurance before November . Which insurance in Indiana is quick in processing and approving ABA ? How much will be the premium and out of pocket expenses.

Hi Kavitha,
Have you tried filing an appeal with BCBS to cover ABA? Sometimes filing an appeal will help to get coverage for ABA. You may want to try contacting the Indiana Autism Alliance. They may be able to direct you on what you should do regarding insurance and how to get ABA covered as well as the type of plans to choose in November. I found this link to a resource in Indiana, https://www.iidc.indiana.edu/pages/Indianas-Hea...

Here is another link from the same site that talks about Medicaid and Medicaid waivers, https://www.iidc.indiana.edu/styles/iidc/defile...(Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators).pdf
