Texas Private School Financial Help
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I found a wonderful private school for my daughter but of course we can't afford it. I would love any inpout or suggestions for scholarships or financial aid options for children with special needs in Texas.

Look up autism scholarship in your area. I live in fl and found the Gardiner scholarship that pays up to $10500 per yr but you have to with drawl your child from public school before they will you can get excepted your application. I just withdrew my child today so he can be placed on a private school that will meet his needs better.

By law, your daughter is entitled to a FREE and APPROPRIATE public education in the least restrictive environment up to age 21 years old. In other words, you should not be paying for it. You need to advocate for the school to pay for it. If your child is over 21 years old, the government, particulkarly the Division of Developmental Disabilities, should be able to help you.
