Our son was the same. OT and other therapies for feeding did not help. Old school techniques did not work. ChristineL has great info. We ended up going to a month long inpatient feeding program at Our Children's House at Baylor in Dallas. They had a multidisciplinary approach with a doctor speech therapist and a psychologist working together along with 4 feeding therapies per day. The difference was amazing and they taught me the techniques. It was hard but he eats all foods now. We had already gone gluten and dairy free. We when went soy free (nut free after red face afted pecans). He has come light years from where he was. He is a healthy weight and no tummy bloat.

Both of you ladies please share more. I have these problems, and quite frankly, I'm tired of the doctors just throwing trial and error treatment at me.
Thangs.

Our son is the same way eats very few things!! Loves cheerios chicken yogurt(sometimes) and a few other things. We have found that along with his siblings encouraging new things helps he is 3 and the siblings all older 9-21 are relentless with him. We eat only fresh prepared foods fruits veggies grow a lot of our own. My oldest loves mangos and will sit with his brother and say come on one bite try it...if he even licks it we consider it a win because next time maybe he will actually put it in his mouth. Just keep offering

Relax...both of my boys slowly added foods over YEARS,,,,,one is hf and one is severe,,,but they both went many years eating ehat your son does...do not strave your child!! Do not make it a big deal or pressure him. Some kids stop eating altogether due to being stressed out over pressure from others about eatubg, Just feed him what he likes right now and very slwly put a tiny bit of a new food in the mix but dont say anything.if he doesnt want it but try again. Like put one maccaroni on his plate everyday. But mainly relax about it and be happy he eats any food right now and he takes a vitamin!!! I would say get gummy probiotics and more importantly get the FIBER POWDER ..equate makes a great one and get fiber in his dirnks so he doesnt get constipated...you stir it into their drinkis 3xs a day and it keeps him regular. they ant even taste it!! put it where you will remember to give it to him!! btw my severe son now eats spinach mushrooms onions !! i put it in a pan with garlic salt then add eggs and cook it like an onelette...the veggies all cook with egg around it...i dont stir it. It took a very long time but slly add things and dont stress him out..do not strave him...BE HAPPY EWITH WHAT HE EATS!!! YOU ARE LUCKY!!! Many are on tubes..keep it light and happy..and DONT LET OTHERS stress him out..so he will continue to eat and not associate with being in trouble......you can also snaek other food into what he is eating,,,like veggies into pizza sauce and spagetti sanuce....there are v8 drinkis with veggies in them..i mix them with juicy juice drinks..half half ....you can also see if he l;ikes those kids drinks like sidekicks....i buy the vanilla and mix in strawberry powder or chocolate powder lol...there are ways to sneak in foods he may like...

I'm in the same boat as you! I feel like I fail my son too when it comes to his diet. I don't really have any advice, just know you're not alone.
