This is definitely a good sign! This is how Davey started to speak again. There was an increase in noises and sounds and then at 41 months we got lots of words! I think your little one is close! Keep up the good work!

I think so! My son is a little younger than yours, and most of the time he babbles and hums, but that babbling and humming is starting to sound more and more like words. I just have to listen carefully. I really think it does start to turn into words. And that's so awesome that he did that for 18 min! I can occasionally get my son to do it's bitsy spider and head shoulders knees and toes. Still hoping to catch him singing one of these days!

^^^^ thanks to each and every one of you! We are definitely hearing whats very close to Elmo! His favourite character!
He's even humming (thats a good word for it thanks!) Along to rock songs and seems to be like me a bit of a Rock kid!
We read someone's story on here once saying to almost underexpect so anything will seem like such a huge achievement which is quite right I certainly don't wish to be in denial or too pushy with him for his capacity (which happened in Jan 17 and we stepped back!)
His pace is paramount!
I'm trying to give him signs and choices at this point and trying to lead him to the kitchen per say to show me (he stands beside the door he knows the weetabix is in.)
All very small but definitely leaps forward in communication.
It's fun to give him food choices as hes a hungry boy and stretches out for both!

I just saw your other post too. The vowel sounds is probably a really good sign too! At least, I really think so!

I believe it's possible....but every child is different...my son just turned 3 in August and he still babbles and gums do i get where you are coming from....he just started speech therapy....so I'm hoping for words but in the meantime we are working to find other forms of communication.
