Thank you for everyone’s input I appreciate it...After lots of thought and speaking to many of you....I have decided to keep my son in therapy only... and postpone his schooling until next year. My son has improved significantly (like night and day) since he started his therapy only 2 months ago...so why mess with what is working. On top of it all I’m very blessed to be able to give my son (through my job) that 40 hours a week of therapy at our house. Although it feels as though I’m living with his therapists at times the fact that my son is now speaking and giving us more eye contact makes it all worth it. Thx for everyone’s input...

I deal with Lovvas Center and through my insurance I receive 40 hours a week. They come Mon-Sat 9-330pm. He started 2 months ago and in that period he has started trying to talk, answers to “come here” and has been giving us more eye contact. Also, he is more tired from receiving therapy he actually sleeps at a somewhat more regular time. He used to stay awake 18+ hours with no nap.

@A MyAutismTeam Member I agree. ABA has been a miracle worker for us so far. He was a little verbal when we started but now I am seeing incredible improvements in my child’s executive functioning skills and his vocabulary (because they drill him on vocabulary flashcards)- along with other therapies speech and OT. I think ABA nowadays has evolved from its practices when it first started.

I’m experiencing this rite now and when u send them to school here in NYC they give him the bear minimum of therapy 😫😫😫😫

Can you take him to a day at each place and stay there and observe?
