Well right now, Medicaid is my kids' primary insurance. We were denied SSI though.

@A MyAutismTeam Member. I live in New York and my son is on a waiver which means that they don't consider my income. So he was able to qualify for Medicaid.

From my understanding, it's good to have both. Medicaid would be secondary.

having both is great because then many things are covered 100%
