When Did Your Nonverbal Child Speak?
Hi everyone just so stressed my little boy has been diagnosed with autism year ago.. He had about 20 words at one time now he says pretty much nothing he hums and loves music sings away but is nonverbal with almost no understanding of speech. He does understand when you show him a picture eg bath or bed.. He is nearly 4 I just want my little guy to talk so much!! Keep on asking to point to the pictures. My son was not responding very good either. Once we started the touch screen computer with a communication A/C program. He started to choose the right pictures. I think it helped him to understand that he has to select a picture on the computer.
