I started Zoloft in 2007 for anxiety. I still take it, and it works wonders. I actually take Abilify along with it to boost it...my anxiety is practically nonexistent :)
no, medications are really great when there is a confirmed diagnosis of a mental health condition, a genetic disorder, or what have you.. but autism doesn't respond well to that kind of medication.. so the issues, being really susceptible to immune system, nervous system, and digestive system issues.. still carry on, no matter what the appearance of behaviour is.
I haven’t given Zoloft to my son, but I take it. It can help anxiety, but won’t do anything for his behavioral moods. Unfortunately if school is stressing him than Zoloft won’t be able to counteract his frustrations.
G started taking Zoloft this summer to help with anxiety. It hasn't changed his frustration threshold. Maybe it is helping a little with anxiety. Not perfect.
