My son is 11yrs old. We put him on Abilify but his problems were getting worse at school. no, medications are really great when there is a confirmed diagnosis of a mental health condition, a genetic disorder, or what have you.. but autism doesn't respond well to that kind of medication.. so the issues, being really susceptible to immune system, nervous system, and digestive system issues.. still carry on, no matter what the appearance of behaviour is.
I haven’t given Zoloft to my son, but I take it. It can help anxiety, but won’t do anything for his behavioral moods. Unfortunately if school is stressing him than Zoloft won’t be able to counteract his frustrations.
G started taking Zoloft this summer to help with anxiety. It hasn't changed his frustration threshold. Maybe it is helping a little with anxiety. Not perfect.
My son took zoloft for 4 days. He was too tired to function and i know from my own experience with it that it can ( at least with me) make matters worse.
I take Zoloft and it helps me. I took Abilify for one month. I never felt so crazy in my life! I wish you the best on finding something for your angel that helps. God bless.
