A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello all,

I am looking for a developmental neurologist for my 8 yo autistic grandson living in Nassau county, NY. His doctor retired and is not available any more.

Can anybody refer us to such a specialist in Nassau/NYC?

Thank you
A.L.

I hope you're all doing well! Lately I've been feeling a little overwhelmed. My son's Behavior has been all over the place. I feel like I don't catch a chance. Yesterday he almost got hit by a car. He has a OCD he always has to be first to the car. One minute he was next to me the next minute he was running off. Another thing he's been doing is saying no a lot. I talked to him nicely and he goes against what I tell him. It's a little frustrating. He also has been telling me to shut up that im going to jail. All this behavior is shocking. I don't know where he learned these things. He receives therapy, the therapist says it's normal for his age. But I'm not convinced. 😢
