Does anyone in CT know of a service or program that will provide an aide or companion to accompany/ride with my 3yr son to his appointment?? Just for the ride, not to stay with him at his appts

You can request a Home Health Aide. If you have a case manager or a social worker they should be able to set it up for you.
He was approved for DDS DEPT OF DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES, however because of the high demand, my son is on a waiver and was put on a long waiting list which has been the case for years (waiting list). So currently he has been approved for DDS services but cannot get the appropriate assistance from a case manager due to being on a waiting list
Here in New York City there is no wating list to get a Home Health Aide.
