Does anyone use a toddler or preschool carrier with their autistic kid? If so, what carriers do you like? I babywore him a lot when he was younger but he’s in the 99th percentile so he outgrew carriers quickly. I was thinking this could help him when we’re out and about (he really struggled with his first big party since covid, covered his ears/buried himself in my shoulder, clung to me and cried if I tried to put him down. I was looking at those! I think I’ll need something a little more restricting though, I could see him wiggling down and taking off.

I put in a request with my local Babywearing chapter; hoping I can try some from their lending library and see what works I really like the idea of an Onbuhimo but putting all the weight on the shoulders seems uncomfortable
