So to best find out about Special Education in the area you would want to reach out to the school district you are moving to and contact their department directly. You want to have a list of targeted questions like what types of programs they offer and how it works for the students in those programs to receive services. Additionally, I would reach out to an advocacy service to get an advocate on hand in the area to help you through any red tape because there is always red tape. Look up the district online and research what other families have to say.. Facebook groups might be a good source to gain an inside scoop on the programs and teachers. Take all that information and make the best decision that one can.

Greatschools.org has a lot of good info about the school in general and they list the suspension and frequent absentee rate for special ed. There are parent reviews and occasionally 1 will pertain to special ed services. They really have a lot of statistical info about the schools there that may or may not be helpful.
