We had a little jogging trampoline with a handle that our son could grab. He would jump on that for a LONG time, from the time he was 3 until he outgrew it at age 10.
@A MyAutismTeam Member, Do you give him any Sleep-Aids? Like Melatonin?
I found that the Tablets invoke bad dreams, but the Liquid helps My Son sleep peacefully and at least 8 hours.
But there are other types of delivery like Gummies, and Soft Chews. Each having their own reaction time.
A healthy B.M. and a Warm Shower immediately afterwards with some warm clothes to put on also helps My Son sleep.
Lavender Essential Oils diluted into water and sprayed on their bed also helps.
What also helped My Son stay in His bedroom all night was the Smell of Me. I used My old Pillow cases and slipped them under hIs sheets and when He smelt Me He remained in bed all night.
I hope something helps.
We just get up I take early mornings dad takes late night gives us both enough sleep
Thanks, I actually have a weighted blanket ill put over his duvet tonight and see
A weighted blanket or a heavy blanket may help if his body is seeking physical stimulus. Or a compression shirt may be helpful if he likes pressure (hugs, etc).
