He only likes soft foods like mased potatos or fries. Seems like he is nervous to try new foods
I tell ya- if I had it to do over again, I would have definitely put my son in the "feeding program". He had the same problem- he loved baby food and ate so healthy. After that- all flat, dry, crispy- no vegetables, no fruits- and no meat except bacon and pepperoni. He's 12 now and completely struggling with insulin resistance etc...
Mine had texture issues when she started eating we took the stuff she wouldn't eat and mashed it eventually she went for the taste and not just the texture but we were going from formula to real food just slowly change the texture from soft to firm and keep the taste consistent ihopeyou can find an answer
WE use money, I know silly but only thing but our kids are teens and always loved money bc they came from nothing as foster kids, rewarding something besides money a sweet treat or time at park.
Usually a texture issue. And I myself can not give you an answer to that. I have problems with texture too. I will not eat anything that is soggy. No way. Have a nephew without autism and he only eats like 12-15 things if that. Think it’s texture with him as well. He’s now 34 years old and still has never tasted a burger or pizza. I can not get my autistic child to eat anything new either. The only meat I could get him to eat was chicken nuggets. He all of the sudden quit eating those too about 4 years old. He’s now 12. But I truly believe that if you give baby food too long which my sister did with her son then you will have more problems down the road with new foods and texture. I have seen many times with overly picky eaters and 3 autistic grandchildren children of my own if you wait to long giving baby food more problems. I gave my kids my food smashed up when they were 4 months old and they eat just about anything. I’m a picky eater and tried to keep them from being that way. I think it helped. But at 3 years old I don’t know. You can only get with dr and be creative is all I can say. And that’s with no authority that’s just my story.
