Urgent! What Did You Do AGE 3, That Helped Your Tot Progress The Most
Urgent! What did you do AGE 3, therapies or in education? In center in home? That you see most progress n Please be specific. My baby girl is 3 with a level 3 of autism, delay in fine motor, NONVERBAL
I second Early Education Services! My son also has Cerebral Palsy (due to prenatal drug exposure). I was told he likely wouldn’t walk, write his name, toilet himself, etc. We were referred to a developmental pediatrician (through Child Development Services) who we saw every 3 months for the first two years. We got all of the recommendations for treatment, advice and referrals for OT, PT, Speech, etc. It was a lot and I am grateful that I was able to be a stay at home mom or it wouldn’t have been possible.
He just turned 6 and I can’t keep up with him! He is a precocious, active and super smart kid. I wish I had a crystal ball back then. I wouldn’t have any idea how to help him if we didn’t have guidance along the way.
Speech and OT have been the most helpful for allowing my daughter to learn how to communicate but also to work on emotion regulation. In Maine we also have child developmental services which help connect with educational supports and that’s how we were able to get her connected with a supported preschool.
We lived in Tennessee when my son was 3 and had early intervention services through the county. They provided a mixture of speech, occupational, and physical therapy services. My son had some services at a therapy center and some services at home. https://www.kidcentraltn.com/program/tennessee-...
