My son has been playing soccer since he was 3yo (now 13yo). Soccer is his one and only interest and he has managed to make it to a high level of play. With that being said, every single coach labels him as being cocky/undisciplined/arrogant despite his level of play. He doesn't treat anybody bad but tends to give more feedback than necessary. I would also notify the district if the coach continues to bully and single him out. or notify the association the coach is through. That is discrimination and not okay. That is not a way to teach or help a child who learns differently.
I would have a talk with the coach at let him know that your son is on the spectrum maybe he will be understanding if not maybe consider switching teams. When my son was working out with a personal trainer I would let them know that he's on the spectrum this way when my son can't follow a instruction they take time with him .
