I’ve been trying to get ihss but have been denied for my 3 year old toddler. Don’t know why I’ve been denied.?

I had applied when my daughter was 5 and I was also denied because its “parent responsibility”. I reapplied when she turned 8 and was denied because supposedly I didn’t work or left a full time job. I reapplied again in August of 2023 and was approved. I’m also her caregiver. Keep reapplying… most of the case workers don’t want to help but just keep trying.

It may be age. Alot of services are not available until the age of 5. Check with your local regional center. They should be able to guide you.
