Chewing And Glasses

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son has ruined two pair of glasses now chewing on the frame.

He is in 7th grade and he has a "chewy" at home but we decide to not give him one in school because of the teasing that happened before.

Any ideas how to get him to stop chewing them?

There is chewlery on amazon. Necklaces for chewing for boys. There are rubber lego shaped ones and ones that look like military dog tags etc. your kid could wear if tolerates and chew on in class and tuck back into shirt other times. Lots of people chew on pens/pen tops and pencils 😉. And that is considered socially normal 😉
