Is she looking at an apartment setting? I know some places have such environments with staff available for assistance, whether it be 24 hours or just a few times a week to help with tasks like grocery shopping, cooking, budgeting, etc. What kinds of skills is she currently developing?

Here in Maryland my son who is Autistic lives in a Project Home house which runs by the county. We had to submit paperwork to be approved, We saw three houses with their social worker and finally choice. One where he has lived for two years and he has his own room. The county supports and with his Social Security benefits it works. He's a diabetic too.

She sounds like she's in a similar situation to me :) I still live at home, but I drive, work 3 jobs, and can pretty much do what I need to. I just need a little moral support here and there. One of the settings I work in is a 24-hour supervised apartment, and the rest are group homes. I'd have to check out what Georgia has to offer, as I'm in New York. I'll see what I can find! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks. It can be an apartment setting. My daughter is an adult and has Asperger's Syndrome but she is functional. She doesn't need much help.
