Hi there. My son goes to a medical office that only deals with Individuals that are disabled. They range from serveraly disabled to not so disabled. They have a few offices in each borough. They go under the name of YAI or Premier health care. My son has been going there since he was 13 or 14. I like it because they know how to deal with the individuals no matter what level of disability they have.
Autism is a broad spectrum a pcp does the basic medical and referring for multiple speciaalist...behavior therapy, speech, ot, pt, psychology and psychiatry....even dentist comfortable with autistic children. Anything extra from the the pcp will give referrals
