I noticed I knew what to except with my autism when I was in the late teens; what triggers me, my weaknesses, etc. Things did get easier. Understanding how my mind works and knowing that it is ok. Thank you for your encouragement Catherine6—it truly means a lot! 💙
Thank you for sharing your story. It takes so much strength to reflect on your own experiences while advocating for your children. I’m sorry that sleepaway camp left you with emotional scars—parents often do their best but may not fully understand their child’s needs.
The way you turned those challenges into motivation to support your kids is truly inspiring. Your attentiveness to their struggles, from learning disabilities to OCD, shows deep love and commitment. Following their lead, advocating, and ensuring they get the right support makes such a difference.
I really appreciate you opening up. Your journey is a powerful reminder of the impact of understanding and advocacy. Thank you for sharing. 💙
