I am currently trying to find a friend for my baby girl. Well..I guess she isn’t a baby but—you get it. She is very artistic and creative. She has social anxiety and is currently pushing through agoraphobia. She told me she has never had a best friend or even a friend that would stay. What advice or resources do you think would help? I’m open to all
My son liked Best Buddies when he was in high school. He was in the Anime club during middle school. He also loves art and ceramics. I was thinking about signing him up for a class or find a MeetUp group.
My daughter in her teens was artistic and talented. She liked singing and acting. So I signed her up for teen camps that centered around dancing,singing,and acting. She met one good friend from each camp.It turned out that the friends she made had Autism too.
Thank you also to Donna and @A MyAutismTeam Member. It is truly a challenge but I’ve taken the task this year and won’t stop until I find something to help. I’m happy she loves our three cats, but she needs some socialization
I wish she were in New York City! My neurodivergent children (11 and 8) are artistic and creative as well. My wife and I have the same concerns about them having friends.
