Our 3-year-old just started school and he rides the bus. We got an air tag but that does not give life tracking if it's not in the range of an apple product. Any recommendations for live tracking that does not take a subscription. My wife has iPhone. I have a Google phone

While the search results don't specifically address GPS tracking devices, here are some general safety recommendations for parents of children with autism who take the bus:

• Work closely with the school transportation department to ensure they understand your child's needs
• Consider requesting an aide on the bus if needed
• Establish clear communication channels with the bus driver
• Create a consistent routine for pickup and drop-off times For tracking specifically, some options to consider:

• Google Family Link (works across iPhone and Android)
• Life360 (offers a basic free plan)
• GizmoWatch or similar kid-specific GPS watches
• AngelSense (designed specifically for children with special needs)

Note: While some of these may require subscriptions, they provide reliable cross-platform tracking that works regardless of device proximity.
