I would like to visit our Botanical Garden where I live more, fish, and take time for a vacation with my family.

I like to make Dioramas (for D&D and Toy Cars). I Love to research Automotive related things (Like I just discovered that Buick/Chevrolet had a thing called a 'Switch-Pitch' Torque-Converter', and I plan on finding one and installing it into My car.). I usually enjoy my job, but I do wish that I could work a little less hours to be with my son more and have our home more fixed up. But if it were just my husband and I or if I was single, I think I'd consider trying to get into a job/career in the healthcare field. Maybe a therapist, front desk worker, or an assistant of some sort.

My interests and hobbies are reading, traveling, cooking, and puzzles of different sorts.

What hobbies and activities work well for people with autism and their caregivers, including art and drawing?

There are many engaging hobbies and activities that can help build skills, confidence, and social connections for people with autism. Here are some popular options:

Individual Activities:
- Gymnastics
- Karate
- Swimming
- Music lessons (particularly piano)
- Art and drawing

Group Activities:
- Scouting programs (Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts)
- Day camps
- Community activities

These activities help with self-confidence, balance, coordination, and social skills while allowing people to have fun and develop independence.

For Caregivers:

Taking care of yourself is essential. Consider finding a hobby that helps you cope with daily challenges - whether that's something new or returning to an old passion. Even if you can't do it every day, having something just for you makes a difference.

Some caregivers have found creative outlets like blogging helpful for sharing experiences and connecting with others who understand the journey.

Physical activity is particularly beneficial, as movement and outdoor time can be rejuvenating while helping with body regulation and releasing energy.
