My son is 11 and has entered a phase of trying to flush objects down the toilet. He thinks it's hilarious. He has done it both at school and at home. We had to have a plumber come and auger out the last object he successfully flushed. The plumber suggested we search Amazon for toilet locks. The problem is, they are all designed for babies and toddlers, and I doubt they would hold up to a determined 11-year-old. Any chance you could read or show visuals of what happens to the potty after flushing objects down it? Lots of potty training books/videos have a big concept of "do not flush toys down the potty and show messes and such " but for the age of 11 that might be hard to back track to potty training books, you might be able to do a visual homemade story and add in something like that goes around it is not a good choice to break the potty and no one can use it if it breaks ? I think getting a lock is a temporary fix and if you don't figure out how to show the concept of actions you might have an issue down the road at someone's house or out side of the school
