Emma is 4 and nonverbal. She has never been in school or really ever around other kids. Our life is hard and complicated and its always really just been her and I. Awww thank you so much all of you for taking the time to comment!!!! And yes emma is in a ESE self contained preschool class. She made number 8. We got the last spot In the class. So there will never be more then 8 kids in the class. But because it is ese self contained it is the age of 3-5. And due to emma have a September birthday she will actually be with this teacher and the 2 aids she has all next school year as well.
I agree w/ AnnaMcElroy- is she in a special needs class especially the small spec ed class?
She has to test her limits like any other kid. That preschool is not for her. Does your state have an "Autism Intervention Program"?
BrandiSpencer- we as parents at least this is how I felt-that I wanted some feedback that I was doing a great job with my kids. I will tell you that you're a great mom who wants the best for your child and you're doing just that by being here and asking for help and guidance.
