I just started the novel “Kramer vs Kramer”. It’s about divorce. The 1979 movie won 5 Oscars, including best picture. It stars Dustin Hoffman & Meryl Streep and includes a little boy named Justin Henry. Bring tissues.
I wish I had the time to read. I work full time. After I take care of my son's needs it's usually bed time. I spend a couple of hours on my tablet before bed time. These electronics have taken the space of reading.
* Reading: I just finished Gilmore Girls Pop Culture Reference Guide and am still reading Bambi. Not much longer on Bambi and I'll be done. We've been participating in our local library system's summer reading challenge.
* Activities: I'm in the deserts of Arizona, so it's pretty hot during the summer. The last handful of weeks we have taken advantage of the family open swim times at my son's swim school. It's been a lot of fun. I recently completed a 1000 piece Gilmore Girls puzzle and am looking forward to building more puzzles when I get more time or the guys are with my in-laws. At work, we have a staff pilates class during the summer that I've been attending when/if there's downtime during the scheduled meet time. Our son has been doing a lot of coloring in therapy.
* TV shows and movies: I've been watching a lot through Roku and Tubi, mostly. Sometimes I watch alone, other times it's with my family. For me, it's been a lot of Roswell (1999-2002), Frasier (1993-2004, currently on season 4, recommended by a work friend), Perfect Strangers (1986-1993) and Coupling (2000-2004). As far movies go, I've lately been in the mood for comedies. Last night we watched Dracula Dead and Loving It. In the last few weeks I saw some Rifftrax versions of a tv movie called Earth Angel (1990s) and the classic It's a Wonderful Life (1940s). My husband loves anime, so he's been watching a lot of that through the same outlets as well as YouTube. For our son, he occasionally likes singing along to Cocomelon, but has been enjoying Daniel Tiger more.
I saw that movie.
