How Do I Get Mpls Public Schools To Put My Son In School Of My Choice
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Minneapolis Public Schools won't put my level 5 ASD child in the school that will best fit him.
They put him back in the school that I took him out of due to his aggression etc.... I sent him to a ABA and now I have to put him back in school system temporarily.
Anyone know of a good school in North Mpls that is good with aggressive type ASD?
They just called back and now will look at other schools . Lol! ( He went to Jenny Lind which didn't work)

I have trained all special ed staff in autism and am a certified autism specialist myself. So, because I still see parent concerns I'm seeking ideas from all of you so I can be a… read more

Elementary Schools In Brooklyn
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

hello,
my son is 4 years old and on the spectrum. Im having a hard time finding an elementary school for him. He starts kindergarten in September and I feel like every school I call for open house never knows how to answer any questions about children with autism. They're very dismissive and I'm kind of getting discouraged. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!
