Minneapolis Public Schools won't put my level 5 ASD child in the school that will best fit him.
They put him back in the school that I took him out of due to his aggression etc.... I sent him to a ABA and now I have to put him back in school system temporarily.
Anyone know of a good school in North Mpls that is good with aggressive type ASD?
They just called back and now will look at other schools . Lol! ( He went to Jenny Lind which didn't work)

I have experienced many different request from parents. Some want more some want less and some don't participate in the school program at all. Some kids have paraprofessionals, OT, PT, sped teacher, and parents are unhappy and want more specialists, and some parents want less services and more inclusion with no para. my son is 4 years old and on the spectrum. Im having a hard time finding an elementary school for him. He starts kindergarten in September and I feel like every school I call for open house never knows how to answer any questions about children with autism. They're very dismissive and I'm kind of getting discouraged. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!
