We just moved to houston. Both our kids have medicaid and we still need to get regular health insurance. I am desperatly trying to find an ABA program for my oldest he is 5 and our youngest mainly needs speech and socialization with other kids his own age instead of imitating older brother. i would love to find him a school that would fit for him he is 2 1/2. does anyone in houston have any suggestions on what schools might be best?

The other place we used for ABA therapy is Depelchin Children's Center
(Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators). Unfortunately there is a two year waiting list for both places. We also signed up for services with MHMRA but they have a 10 year waiting list!

University of Houston in Clear Lake has ABA therapy for 4 hours a day. Loved their program to bad my son aged out. We also have Medicaid but MHMRA pays for most of the treatment. Their is a family cost share but because we are broker than broke they found a donor that paid the cost. The program director is Dr. Dorthea Lerman

Chancellor Elementary School in Alief
or the Rice School near Braeswood and Kirby.
Chancellor has a structured learning program and help to promote order for my son. But I had to pursuit speech therapy outside of the school. It wasn't enough.

Chancellor Elementary
She was a really sweet teacher: )
