Gfcf No Allergy?.
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

We recently received our results from the IgG test and it showed no gluten sensitivity but a very mild dairy sensitivity. Our doctor recommended taking her off dairy for a month and seeing if it helped. Has anyone had this test come back negative and had good results with the GFCF diet anyway? Is it worth it if she has no digestive issues?

Yes - just slowly eliminate one thing at a time. Don't try to do it all at once or disaster! Best of luck! :D

Our test came back the same as yours. But our DAN doctor did pressure us to do GFCF anyhow. So we did. My son was very slightly calmer but not enough so to do the extra work.

btw, taking her off dairy is easy. It's the gluten that is hard. I think you should follow your doctor's suggestion.

Yay so glad you found a good milk substitute. Daiya is alright, much better melted or smeared on a sandwhich with something else to help buffer the taste. I actually prefer the coconut milk yogurt over any other kind of yogurt. I wish it was more affordable though. I tried to make it myself and failed, it's a little tricky to get the consistency right. If anyone has a tried and true recipe that actually works please pass it on to me (:

Have you tried Greek Yogurt! My boys love it and it doesn't seem to effect them! :D

Coconut milk! She didn't take to the almond at all! And at first we have had to mix coconut milk and cows milk to wean her off, but she's doing much better. Within the next few day I think we will be able to go completely dairy free. Yay!
