Did Any Other Mother Of An ASD Child Test Abnormal On Their PRENATAL RISK QUAD SCREEN ?

We tested positive for Down Synrome. A 1 in 35 chance. He does not have DS, he has Autism. I wondered if anyone else had a similar result?

Yes, we got the Down syndrome positive when I was pregnant. I don't remember what the chance was. We did an amino, determined he did not have Downs, and went our merry way...

Ah, but now they are linking Autism to high fevers in pregnant mums...it's the reason of the day. However, I DID have Scarlet Fever while pregnant with my Aspie and ran a high fever for days. Was on an oxycillin drip for days as well, and hospitalized for over a week. I was 35 when I gave birth, and it was a normal healthy birth, and other than an ultrasound, there was no additional screening. Great question, however !
