I would recommend finding an OT to work with you to develop a sensory diet. At various times, we've used Wilbarger dry-brushing, a weighted vest, chewies, an electric toothbrush, a mini-trampoline, a swing, a kicking strap for her chair, and fidgets like a Koosh.

I would recommend getting a good Occupational Therapist and getting a sensory diet started. We used the Wilbarger Brushing Protocol, joint compressions,weighted blankets. A good OT can evaluate your child and steer you in the right direction. It's never to early to start teaching your child to fill his own sensory needs in a healthy way.

My 2 year old does the same things. Our OT had a bunch of recommendations. I would definitely check in to that. One thing you could try that my son loves is a vibrating teether. You can get one that looks like a bunch of grapes in the baby section at target or they have some at babies r us. It seems to help him.

Sounds like he needs increased sensory, check with OT. Research sensory input items on line. If your crafty you can make some cheap yourself. I have started to make things myself and even sell some.
