We are still trying to get rid of a stubborn case of Candida albicans, and on January 11th, I put M on Candidase by Enzymedica. It is a blend of Cellulase and Protease which help break down the Candida. Two weeks in, he has begun to do nothing but poop! He poops five times a day! Every single diaper except his morning diaper is just full of it, and I am losing my mind. Is this a normal part of the detox process? What does this mean? Thanks for your help.

Arrgh! If one put a high concentration of this product in a flask, with optimum pH and other optimal reaction conditions, and added only c. albicans, then over the course of hours one would see the breakdown of cell wall components into measurable product - glucose.
It's very difficult to get that kind of concentration of enzyme in the gut, where the reaction conditions are naturally sub-optimal, there are a whole lot of other things in the guts that the enzymes work on (food, bacteria) so the amount seen by candida is very low; and candida eats the enzymatic product - glucose - for breakfast.
At $50 a bottle, the producer is happily raking in the cash, and the first hundred entries you see upon a Google search will be from companies out to make some money, or from a person here or there who swears by the product. these are not endorsements; it's marketing. And every one will have a disclaimer in 5 pt font on the bottom of the page.
Don't waste your energy on this; if you're serious, then go see a gastroenterologist, have them do a proper test, and if warranted they can prescribe a compound that is effective.

You might also want to consider when you are giving the enzymes. Are you giving the dose between meals, or at mealtime? It may not make much difference, but remember that the enzymes will help digest most everything, not just candida.

The effect you are seeing shouldn't last for too long, but if it lasts for more than a week or two, you might want to go back and ask the doctor. I am not an expert, but it seems unusual to me.

Still, candida overgrowth can be a major issue, and the battle is never really won. If you let your guard down, it can come back.

Are you avoiding sugars? Are you cutting back on breads? I don't know if it always makes a difference, but it does for us. (My son does not eat veggies if he can help it, so the candida diet is not an option, but we see some benefit just by cutting back on the "bad" foods.)
