We have been going back and forth. With our 25 year old son who is autistic, with aggressive behaviors. Bring him to Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore Maryland. They take insurance. This is where my son goes and we live in Fairfax. It's an hour drive and well worth it. Kennedy Krieger is world renowned for its expertise in children's neurological disorders. My son is on meds now for aggression. If anyone can help your child it's this wonderful facility.
I have a 17 yr old daughter how also has been on many medications (seroquel, invega, focalin, strattera) which nothing works. I put her in an inpatient program which they tried an mood stabilizer (lithium extended release and clonindine). So far, I have seen improvements. One thing clonindine is for hyertense but have found it works for hyperactivity and anxiety.
