How Do I Get Therapy For Rural Community?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am trying to get a support group started in my rural community. I see on here that many parents have these great therapy programs available. The only "trained" aba therapist came for 4 hours one day a month as she came from 120 miles away. My question is are the therapies you refer to so much offered through a federal program or state program or are they just private therapy programs. I want to be able to bring some information to the group and need a starting point.

I have heard that some speech therapists will Skype with clients who live too far for in-person visits. It isn't ideal but better than nothing.
