How Does Your Child Voice Their Dislike? Looking Higher Functioning K-3 Kids That Don't Want To Leave Home Or Go Out Much.
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My daughter has a weird way of vocalizing why she prefers to be at home and never to go somewhere new. She particularly does this more if there is a surprizing change to her schedule or routine. I just got a weird take on her vocalizations from a specialist.

To me she trying to express sensory overload.

She also goes into shutdown in public places with too many people.

I think as a parent we know more then the specialist. As special as they are they don't see your daughter 24/7. I also think some of the best doctors are the best because they skip the hard issues. I would be floored too.

Specialist used it as a reason why she isn't really ASD. I was floored.

I think that is pretty normal for autism kids.
