Austin is doing well on the acdemic aspect but He is having episodes when He is being agressive with classmates. The school is working on a behavior assesment with him but I would like to explore other non-traditional options available out there
cmmbytheriver, I would love to give chiropractors a try but our insurance does not cover it :(. And that is why I am considering pediatric integrative medicine due is fully covered and I like the concept of it. CrimsonWife: pediatric Japanese acupuncture actually does not need needles. I know, I can't imagine my 5 years old staying still for 45 minutes! I have reading abut yeast and makes a lot of sense. Thank you ladies! We have our appointment next week, will keep you posted.
Have you tried treating for yeast? What about a low-phenol diet plus dietary enzymes like No Fenol? I would try those things before acupuncture. I've actually done acupuncture in the past and it requires the patient to lie completely still for about half an hour at a time. I'd be very dubious about the ability of most kids (ASD or NT) to do that.
We have not tried acupuncture, but my three year old is doing really well with Chiropractic care.
