I agree with evak77 there is one with a sedation but it is not as effective. my son's neurologist wanted one for my ASD son but he wasn't gonna have anything to do with that....I tried to tell them all but they wouldn't listen.

I have had two of them done on my daughter and one on my son. There is one kind of EEG they can do with the child sedated but it does not tell the whole story. My daughter is nonverbal and LFA and does not like anything touching her. It was hard but we did get it done after basically wearing her out all day and bringing her in in the evening, which was hard to schedule but it can be done in most children's hospitals.
