My daughter started lessons this summer. I called and spoke to the owner first and explained the situation. Turns out they have a few kids there who also have autism. They are good with her, and she has fun while she is there. Her OT was also happy to hear she was taking it.

I would definately sign him up for lessons and explain to the teacher his issues. This could be a great outlet for his energy and give him self esteem! If it doesn't work, at least you tried! There is a studio where I live that will cater to your sons abilities. Be glad it is something real and not pretend!! My son is 22 and still obsessed with Dragon ball Z! Uhg!
