It sounds like dysgraphia. I had the same thing in school but it wasn’t recognized then. Wasn’t diagnosed until adulthood. My handwriting was chicken scratch. My hand would hurt so much after a few sentences and teachers would say I wasn’t trying enough. My parents made me practice on weekends and I would sit there with tears in my eyes. I would get misgraded on papers because of misinterpretation of my letters. I avoided writing because my handwriting represented something terrible. When I finally got my first computer in the 90’s everything changed. In college some professors choose to try and read through my scribble for written exams. Taking notes was a problem.

My son has dysgraphia as well. I didn't even know what it was until about two years ago. Thank you for sharing this personal story. It means a lot to me.

I've heard of programs that give out free iPads. Google that, I'm sorry I don't remember who offers it. But it was thru an autism site.

Computers are great. Whatever works for your family is the best thing.
