My son is 3.8 years old and usually uses 1 word to comunicate for example water, juice, rice, meat, carride, mcdonalds, yeah, no , etc. sometimes two word phrases like go there, take (brothers name) but when i visisted his school for a father day donut morning 80 percent of the kids in his special education class were talking up a storm in sentences....this is the lower class with kids that really need assistance.... Anyone' child talk in full sentences at 3-4 years old?

Hi Kay and Nicole my son had about 10 words when he turned 3. Now he has a pretty large vocab... But really nonconversational talk. Progress is very slow over here.....
My son just turned 3 and have only a few words less than 10.
He hasn't start school yet though, he starts in the fall, I'm hoping he will pick more words before that.

My son has some words like juice, daddy, mama, go,out but jus a few.
Before he regress he had a little more.
I'm praying he develop more.
Hi @ KateGayle, my son is 3yrs old now. Has no words. It's bcoz in addition to ASD he has childhood speech apraxia which is stopping him from talking. My ST says mostly kids with ASD have speech apraxia. Did u see that with ur child too?
