Sara had a meltdown that she became physical. This out burst lasted for about an hour. She took a nap and woke up still out of sorts. The next day she doesn't remember doing it and is very toddler like in vocabulary and actions. Is it normal not to remember. She is 10 yrs old.
I have been told by my sons speech therapist that children with ASD can be very 'in the now' the present and not good at talking about what happened (ie talk to me about what we did yesterday π€π€π€π€π€) Im trying to remember this but ask my son all the time 'did you go swimming' etc etc....If its true I thibk its v v possible your child doesnt recall.
It's totally normal for my son, too. He's 12. I wish I had advice, but we're struggling and have been with this issue for a long time. Just know that you're not alone and she's not lying to you about not remembering - she just doesn't remember. Being in that frantic state of mind is like a nightmare and her brain probably didn't hang on to it the same way typical people don't remember gross or uncomfortable situations that they unconsciously push out of their minds.
Sorry It just occurred to me to ask you have you mentioned change in behaviour afterwards ie her state of mind, vocab, actions, my GP once asked me this in rekation to my son maybe having had a seizure as their behaviour demenor and energy level appears different after a seizure?
Sorry to be gloomy but just checking all is well with you guys x
