Has anyone taken a cruise before with Autism on the Seas? If so, how was your experience?
We didn't use Autism on the Seas. We went with our 4 year old ASD daughter and 3 year old son on Carnival Cruises to Mexico and Grand Cayman from Tampa. She had no major problems as we didn't wait in line during boarding because we told them she doesn't handle lines well. You can skip the group dining with strangers because we were afraid she might make things difficult. There was a play area for kids with the crew watching them so the adults can pick them up later. When we signed up for the cruise, we added that our daughter had special needs that helps.
We didn't finish the cruise as I was in the sick bay because I had heart burn for the first time and thought it might be a heart attack or something- ruined the whole trip. We were encouraged to leave the ship- no refund and I stayed in greedy a Mexican hospital. Websites about cruise lines wouldn't allow me to post about it and they don't allow stories about crimes on ships or ports.
Not a cruise, but I've flown with my son. It was fine. I did a night flight so he slept thru the whole time.
Wow that's horrible @A MyAutismTeam Member
