Had to withdraw my son from school, the anxiety is too much. I need to complete his schooling at home. Any suggestions for an online school?
Our local school system does offer distance learning for some students. They complete assignments at home and receive instruction on their computer. I'm guessing if your son has an IEP, the specific goals outlined would need to be aligned with the program, so your best bet may be to check with your local district and see what they offer in the way of distance learning and see (if he needs educational accommodations) if it can be tailored to his specific needs. Best of luck!
My son (now 15) is doing his schooling with Ogburn online. He did 8th grade and just finished 9th. It's a 10-month program, but you can finish early and go on to the next grade. It is an option if you're dealing with anxiety, health issues, stress from the environment (sensory issues) and best of all it is very flexible for the student. There are also live classes that the student participates in Scribblar so the student listens to the instructor and there are many students who sign up in the chat box. I hope this helps
