ABA helped us a lot with elopment, running and wandering. My son was really bad, but the ABA helped us with him. We still must always hold his hand as he will dart into the street. We worked on this by taking walks on quiet streets during slow traffic times, like a residential street and having him walk beside us without hand holding, or having him stop qhen we say stop. It takes a long time, and even now, I still dont trust him not to run off or wander, but its an improvement to what it used to be. My son is 4.5 btw.
Oh ok that makes sense. Oh nice. That's really great.
ABA last until your kid graduates the program. That will be diffrent for every kid. My son graduated in 7 monrhs of being in the program. He is a quick learner.
Oh nice. How long does ABA therapy last? I will have to check into the play groups.
I have heard if all three forms being done. My son graduated ABA last month. He had homebased because I don't have a car. But it can be done at School and Clinical. Have you tried looking into playgroups. Maybe see if the local Mental Health facilities offer anything.
My 4.5 year old gets picked up every Tuesday for playgroups. They mostly go to Parks , Pools , and Splash Pads. The purpose is to get him in to the community and help him to socialize.
